SHOCKER: Three Governors to Dump PDP & Join Atiku In APC

When former vice president Atiku Abubakar decided to consult wide before dumping the PDP for the APC a lot of political watchers did not understand his strategy. But it was learnt that it was a strategic and significant move as the plan is to ensure the PDP is obviously outnumbered in the coming months.

And if The Nation's latest report on the issue is anything to go by, then APC will be having 19 governors very soon while PDP will be left with 15 and PDP agents known as APGA and LP will have one each.

Three more governors elected on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party are set to decamp from the party and join Atiku and others in the fast-growing opposition party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Two of the governors are from the Northwest and the third from the North central.

More Senators and Reps members are also bidding their time to cross over to APC, as highly placed sources say Atiku's move to the APC is one that will shock a lot of people when the results begin to manifest.

It is obvious that Nigerian politics is no longer a walk-over for any party and this is very good for democracy.
