South African Blade Runner, Oscar Pistorious sentenced to 5 years in prison

The South African athlete known as the Blade Runner made history at the London 2012 Olympics when he became the first amputee sprinter to compete in the able-bodied Games, running in the 400m and 4x400m relay. He was charged with his girlfriend's murder on 14 February 2013 and went on trial in March 2014. 
In September 2014 he was found not guilty of murder, but guilty of manslaughter. He has been sentenced to 5 years in prison
