We would like to take a look at Nigerian musicians that much was expected from them when they were very young but one way or another, didn't live up to their full potential as they grew older
1. Yung6ix
Yung6ix was once regarded as the future of Nigerian rap music after his impressive Oleku cover and back to back decent rap singles.
So far he has grown to become a Nigerian artiste struggling to make an impact in the music industry.
2. EVA ALORDIAH
Eva is the last femcee standing in the Nigerian music business and sadly she is not doing enough to hold a voice in the music industry
3. PHENOM
Former Knighthouse rapper Phenom was highly rated as a youngster. Although he still has age on his side, the rapper has so far failed to achieve half of his potential.
4. MOCHEEDAH
After winning MAMA Awards, Channel O Awards and releasing an album in her early 20s, Mo’Cheddah’s career was halted by a nude scandal.
She is now more known for her fashion and style instead of her music.
5. Chidinma
Chidinma is supposed to be in the league of Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade if her career didn’t stall. Chidinma turns 25 this year, the year that marks her 6th year in the music business.
6. Danny Young
Danny Young had back to back hits as a youngster especially with Welcome in 2006 but didn’t monetize because the music industry wasn’t booming as much. Danny Young has since disappeared from the Nigerian music scene.
