West Ham co-owner signing players from hospital bed after heart surgery

David Sullivan won’t be resting in his bid to bring in new players at West Ham - despite undergoing heart surgery.

The Hammers co-owner, 67, was seen on his phone while recuperating in a hospital bed following an operation on Tuesday as his young son David Jnr shared an image on Twitter .

He wrote: "Dads just had heart surgery woke up from operation and is straight back on the phone to sign more players".

Sullivan, renowned for putting in long hours behind the scenes, heads West Ham’s transfer department and is keen to bolster Slaven Bilic ’s side before the summer window closes next week.

A striker is West Ham’s priority with Manchester City frontman Wilfried Bony linked with a loan switch to the new London Stadium.
