Funke Akindele asks Nigerians to be proud of their accent

Newly married Funke Akindele in an interview has revealed that trying to sound like British and American is not the way forward.


She said in a recent interview,  “A lot of us want to be western you know, we want to sound like the British and Americans, and we forget our culture. We forget we are Nigerians and that we have an accent. South Africans are very proud of their accent.”
