The 10th edition of one of the most anticipated awards show is here again. The Headies awards is one event that both artistes and entertainment enthusiast look forward to every year. It is the awards that keep every artiste on his or her feet and makes them want to aim higher.
This year, the Headies will as always be looking to make a better impression than previous years.
Following the release of list of the Headies nominees, a lot of buzz seems to be going on for one of the biggest categories of the event (if not the biggest) which is the Next Rated award. This is a voting category for the most promising upcoming act in the year under review.
The Next Rated category has seen the likes of Asa (2006), Overdose (2007), Wande Coal (2008), Omawunmi (2009), Skuki (2010), Wizkid (2011), Davido (2012), Sean Tizzle (2013), Patoranking (2014) all clinching the prestigious award.
This category is deemed as the biggest due to the fact that each year, winners of the category are presented with a vehicle.
Well, it's time for us to find out who wins the prize this year. In a group that hosts a lot of upcoming acts such as Reekado Bankz, Kiss Daniel, Cynthia Morgan, Korede Bello, and Lil’ Kesh, it will be quite difficult to take a guess at who might emerge as the winner.
These youngsters have all shown some the quality of their talents and have really been all over the airwaves all year.
Being that the winner will be selected by vote, i guess we all just have to either sit back and hope our favorite artiste amongst the group wins or we could participate in the voting process and see to it that it happens.
As for me, i'm rooting for Kiss Daniel...lol!!!!
